BENGALURU: Holy water from the Ganges will be distributed to devotees at 3,000 Shiva temples spread across the state on the occasion of
Maha Shivaratri on Friday, February 21.
On Wednesday, 40,000 litres of gangajal brought from Haridwar region, and filled in over 1.25 lakh cans and bottles, was sent to district headquarters where it will be sent to muzrai temples in their jurisdiction.
The initiative, spearheaded by former minister Krishnaiah Shetty, is an annual affair since 12 years.
